What part of the real estate industry are you in? What company do you currently work for? Partner attorney at Spencer Fane. My practice focuses on representing developers, businesses, and property owners in real estate financing, acquisitions, leasing (tenant and landlord), and development.
What is your favorite part of CREW? If you are a new member, why did you join CREW? CREW provides an outstanding environment to connect with other female professionals in the commercial real estate industry. With such a network, I am able to provide better representation to my clients. I also enjoy the programming on relevant real estate topics.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies? During the winter, I can usually be found skiing down a mogul run in Colorado. During the spring/summer, I hang up the skis and attempt to grow a better vegetable garden than the previous year.
Are you a Colorado native? If not, where are you from and how did you end up in Colorado? I am originally from Helena, Montana. I attended high school in Portland, Oregon, but decided to go back to a four-season environment for my undergraduate degree and chose Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I have been in Colorado ever since.
Favorite spot in Denver (or surrounding areas?) Mile High Stadium during a Broncos game.
What food, dessert or treat can you NOT resist? Sushi – I was slow coming around to it, but now that I have developed the taste for it, I cannot go back.
Dream vacation? Tour of the vineyards in France
Biggest accomplishment of your career? Leading a team of people in negotiating and finalizing a $43 million refinancing of a loan on behalf of multiple borrowers
Favorite motivational quote to inspire you at work? The secret of getting ahead is getting started. Mark Twain
