Our heightened awareness around health and social justice has been the catalyst for many industries to be more inclusive and build trust within their organization and communities. The success and acceptance of future real estate developments stems from the intentional deployment of new and different voices in the room when the “it” happens.  This diverse panel will explore the various benefits of social equity, inclusion and diversity to future projects and why it is imperative that private developers and offices of economic development improve industry norms. We will also discuss racial, gender, and socio-economic disparities that have widened during the pandemic, plans to address these shortfalls, and thoughts around promoting systemic inclusion in real estate development.
